Summer saw heatwaves and thankfully great weather for the return of Family, Food & Fun!
We were overwhelmed by the response and excitement of people wanting to come along on the mornings to enjoy games, crafts, activities and lunch together. A huge thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time to plan, organise, run activities and the catering team for providing lunch for nearly 80 people every week!
The Missions Group gave out a few donations recently on behalf of St Gabriel’s including:
£180 to the West End Refugee Service
£120 to the Leprosy Mission
£100 to Marygate House on Holy Island
£150 to the Church Urban Fund
And a donation to the Action Foundation.
We also sent another 5 full A4 envelopes of stamps to the R.N.I.B.
Friends of St Gabriel’s held their Autumn Coffee Morning raising a fantastic £690 for St Gabriel’s Funds. The Mothers’ Union held their first meeting of the season sharing their favourite Autumnal recipes.
