We ask Your blessing Lord on all who pass through Heaton today. May they experience welcome and warmth in their encounters. |

For the gift of serenity we give thanks. |

May we celebrate the many gifts we share – memories, friendships (new and old), experiences and mutual love. Amen. |

Inspire us Lord to show our care for the diversity of people in our community through action, reflection and constant renewal of shared values. |

As we move through our neighbourhood help us Lord to remember to pray for each family, each small business, each place of hospitality – for all who live, work and play here. |

Heavenly Father open our hearts and minds to the struggles experienced by so many about us, financially, physically and mentally. Give us love in our hearts today and always. |

Bless Lord our times of relaxation at home or on holiday. Bless too Lord the many who through poverty, duty or care for others have no time to relax. Show us how we may offer kindness and support to each. |

For the beauty of each day, Father we offer praise. |

We reflect on the opportunities afforded to us during the past month – on lessons learned, happiness enjoyed and thanks given. Amen. |

Bountiful Father we come in gratitude for the beauty of the earth and the many gifts You have bestowed on us. May we reflect Your love and generosity to all who we meet today. |

2nd |
We hold in our hearts those whose example of caring and sharing enrich the lives of this community. In silence we name them and ask Your blessings on their work |

3rd |
We give thanks for the joy of summer days, for the birdsong and fragrance of our green spaces. May we preserve and protect our precious environment always. |

4th |
We pray for the areas of the world where famine and natural disasters obliterate lives. May we respond actively to needs and work towards equality of resources. |
|
5th |
Grant wisdom and compassion to all in authority Lord. |
|
6th |
We give thanks for the kindness of strangers, and may we ourselves be your hands and feet throughout our lives |

7th |
Draw our eyes Lord to the opportunities You offer today. May we see You in each other. |

Healing Spirit visit we pray, the dark and broken places where war and violence exist. Especially we pray for the Middle East and the healing of nations. |

Bless Lord our families and friends, we give thanks for each individual as we name them in our own hearts and we pray for the lonely, the isolated and those who have lost hope. |

Grant us the grave to grow in faith, love and trust. |

We give thanks for our homes and the security of loving relationships of every kind. |

Strengthen we pray all whose lives are blighted by doubt and anxiety. Give them hope in their hearts and may they be blessed by a growing confidence in Your presence. |

We bring to You Lord all facing change and the anxiety of awaiting examination results and decisions about future plans. |

We pray for all the young people in our lives. May we support with wisdom, sensitivity and love. |

We bring to You Lord all the people in our area. In particular we bring to you each family in our our own Street. May we be supportive to vuneralbe, sad and the lonely. |

Today we particularly pray for the workers, charities and organisations who offer support to victims of abuse of every kind. We pray for a world where violence and hatred are no more. |

We pray for our city of sanctuary. Where asylum seekers feel safe and welcome and we know their pain of leaving homes and all they have loved for unknown futures. |

18th |
We bring to You Lord all who feel unwanted or unloved. May they feel Your presence and our empathy. |
|

Bless loving Father the staff and residents of Simonside House and social workers throughout thee area who support the homeless or insecure. |
|
20th |
May we actively work to grow a nation where all people feel safe, valued and welcome. Bless Lord the many people who already play a part in this growth. |
|
21st |
Lord of Plenty we pray for those whose crops have failed again. Those who have lost livelihoods in natural disasters or manmade catastrophes. May we never forget the needy. |

We give thanks for the guidance of our clergy and their work in local schools, hospitals and local care homes. May they know our appreciation through our words and actions. |

For the gift of joy we give thanks. |

Bless Father the work of the missions committee and the local, national and international charities benefiting from their support throughout each year. |

We today give thanks for the work and witness of the Friends of St Gabriel’s providing a lively church and social presence to the wider community of Heaton. |

We come in gratitude for Tim’s moving and inspiring work in the development of music here. Supporting the young, old, gifted and beginners. We send heartfelt thanks from us all. |

For the gift of life itself we give thanks and praise. May we use our given time wisely and well. |
